Summary: Enable couples and family therapy clients to access their individual client portals with the same functionality and features available to individual therapy clients.
Current State: Individual therapy clients have full access to their client portal, where they can view session summaries, complete forms, access resources, manage account settings, view billing history, and self-schedule appointments.
Requested Change: Extend comparable portal access to clients in couples and family therapy contracts. Each family member should be able to access their own portal view, similar to individual clients, to:
View session summaries and progress updates
Complete and track assigned forms
Access practice resources and announcements
Manage their own account preferences
View billing history and account balance
Self-schedule appointments for the couple/family
Rationale:
Consistency: Removes confusion about different feature sets across account types.
Engagement: Increases client engagement and transparency in multi-person therapy.
Autonomy: Allows clients to take ownership of scheduling and billing visibility.
Compliance: Aligns with modern consent and transparency practices in couples and family work.
Usability: Reduces friction for therapists managing multiple family members on one contract.
