character limit for smart note edit descriptions in templates

Can we get more characters for smart edit instructions in the note templates? The current limit of 1000 characters strips the notes of the complexity required for good quality notes. As of right now, most of the notes are 60% there. If we were allowed 3000-4000, then the quality would be much much higher.
