💊 Psychiatry Support Starting With E-Prescribing

We're building full psychiatry support into Upheal, starting with e-prescribing, so psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners can prescribe, order labs, and handle refills in the same place they document.

You'll search for a medication by brand or generic name, set formulation, dosage, frequency, quantity, and instructions, then send it to your client's saved default pharmacy, including controlled substances. Confirmations and pharmacy replies come back into the chart, and anything you prescribe is added to the client's medication list automatically.

Lab orders work the same way, going out to your default lab with results returning electronically to the chart. Your chart will hold what prescribing depends on: NPI and DEA numbers, drug allergies, active diagnoses, current medications, and vital signs. Clients will be able to request refills through secure messaging between sessions.

Today this means keeping a second system open next to your notes, and a refill means a five minute phone call. After this ships, prescribing, ordering, and refills happen in the chart you already work in.
