Allow therapists to store and organize commonly used handout documents (psychoeducation materials, worksheets, coping skills resources, etc.) at the practice level for quick access during both asynchronous messaging and live video sessions.
Why this matters:
Efficiency: Therapists can focus on client care instead of hunting for files during sessions or between appointments.
Live session support: During video sessions, therapists can instantly access and share documents via screen sharing without interrupting the therapeutic flow.
Consistency: A centralized library ensures all clients receive the same, vetted versions of handouts.
Organization: Practice-wide resources are curated in one place rather than scattered across individual computers.
Seamless workflow: One-click attachment to secure portal messages and instant retrieval during screen sharing streamlines the entire client interaction.
Team alignment: Group practices can standardize and share approved resources across all providers.
Suggested implementation:
Add a Document Library section in Settings or a dedicated area accessible during sessions
Support PDFs, Word docs, images, and other common file types
Organize documents by category/folder (e.g., "Anxiety," "CBT Worksheets," "Grounding Techniques," "Consent Forms")
Enable quick search and one-click attachment when composing messages
Make the library easily accessible during video sessions for live screen sharing
Optionally, allow tagging documents and permission-based access for team members
Current workaround: Therapists manually search their computer files, breaking session flow and creating inconsistency in which resources clients receive.
