Secure Team Messaging for Group Practices

A secure, HIPAA-compliant internal messaging system within Upheal that allows:

• Direct messages between clinicians, supervisors, and admin staff on the same practice account

• Client-linked threads — the ability to message a colleague in context of a specific client chart (e.g., "Re: [Client ID]"), without exposing PHI outside the platform

• Supervision channels — a dedicated space for supervisors to communicate with supervisees, particularly useful for practices onboarding interns or associates under licensure supervision

• Read receipts and message status, so clinical communication isn't lost in inboxes

• Role-based access, so messaging permissions align with the team member's role (admin, associate, supervisor, owner)

• Mobile and desktop parity, so clinicians can communicate from wherever they're working
