👥 Supervision in Upheal

We're adding supervision session support so clinical supervisors can use Upheal the same way they use it for therapy sessions. You'll be able to record supervision meetings, generate notes from them, and use templates designed for supervision, covering case presentations, clinical feedback, and competency tracking rather than therapy content.

For supervisors managing multiple supervisees, this means your supervision documentation lives in the same place as everything else. No more taking notes by hand or switching to a separate tool when the conversation shifts from client care to clinical training.

Beyond recording the supervision session itself, we're also looking at co-signing workflows so when you supervise students or pre-licensed clinicians, their notes can route to you for review and signature inside Upheal. The end-to-end picture is: trainee writes a note, supervisor reviews and co-signs, supervision discussion is captured separately, all in one client chart.

This would greatly benefit practice for those of us with clinical supervisees. Please implement as soon as possible.

This is essential for my practice right now. I have been using the “summary” but it isn’t cutting it. thanks!

Agreed with others here, this would be a huge upgrade for me. Because I supervise students, I can’t switch over to an EHR that doesn’t have robust supervision tools

    Real Time Supervision Log-in

I am working from home today and one of my supervisees is in the office seeing a new client. His intake paperwork was concerning. We have a supervisor there in his own session, so she is not there alone. However, I wanted to login to her session to see the sentiment of it as I am just concerned for her. This does not look like an option, however it could be helpful in situations like this if it could be. I just wanted to share my dilema, Thank you guys!

    Note-taking for supervision sessions

Would love to use upheal’s note taking services when providing clinical supervision sessions. Templates might note info presented in client case presentations, supervisee concerns, and supervisor recommendations. Supervisees could obtain consent from their clients for supervisor to use upheal software; or supervision could be held with anonymized content only.

What does the “backlog” status mean?

@Ethan BrattIt means we’ve reviewed this feedback and confirmed it fits well with our future roadmap. It’s in our backlog as a planned improvement, but work hasn’t started yet and we don’t have a release date to share.

    supervision

Excellent software, a game changer, but would love the opportunity to have a place to add supervisee instead of adding them under client.

It would be great to have the option to have two signers on a note ex therapist and supervisor.

Agreed, this would be huge. I can’t switch over EHR’s until there is a fully functioning supervision mechanism like signing off on notes, submitting their claims to insurance, etc.

I plan to take on a psych associate in the fall, and legally, we both need to be able to sign the note- the trainee as the one who conducted the session, and me, as the legally responsible/licensed person. I hope to take on several trainees and add them over time, so this would be really important to have.

Supervision Meeting summaries would be great. I don’t personally need the supervisor co-signing option.
