📱 The Upheal Mobile App for Therapists

We're building a native Upheal app for therapists so you can stay on top of your practice from your phone, especially in the moments between sessions when you don't have time to open a laptop. The app covers your schedule, secure messaging with clients, the AI Assistant, push notifications, and the ability to start a telehealth session from your phone when you're away from your desk.

For therapists doing nature therapy outdoors, in-home sessions, or simply working between back-to-back clients, the app turns small gaps into useful ones: see who's joined the waiting room, reply to a client message, ask the assistant to summarize the next client before they walk in, or reschedule a tomorrow morning slot without opening your computer.

This isn't a stripped-down companion app. It's Upheal where you already are, designed for the small windows when reaching for a phone is faster than opening a browser.

Upheal for Clinicians is now available on both iOS and Android! 🎉

Designed to help you manage your practice wherever you are, the app includes:

    • Calendar, including scheduling and rescheduling

    • Embedded Upheal Assistant

    • Messaging and push notifications

    • Native input and dictation

    • Client list, with options to add and edit clients

    • Sessions list

    • Announcements to clients

    • A home screen with quick access to past and upcoming session cards

For existing users, Recorder remains the default screen, so you can continue using the workflow you know while accessing these new tools.

Do we have to uninstall and reinstall the app? If I open mine it shows the recorder and if I click the … it only shows Support & Logout.

No, you just have to update the app.
For a manual update, go to the App Store, search for Upheal Recorder, then tap Update.

We’re so glad you’re excited,@Brenton Kirschner🎉 If Upheal has made a positive difference in your practice, we’d be incredibly grateful if you could share your experience in a quick Trustpilot review. It helps other clinicians discover Upheal and helps our team continue improving: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/upheal.io

A stand-alone app would be great. I do use the Upheal recorder app when I’m doing nature therapy outdoors or when doing in-home sessions, but I have to log in via a browser to schedule. An app would simplify.

When is this app scheduled to be available? Opening the browser on my cell phone for telehealth sometimes takes quite a while and would love to have access to all features as I don’t take my laptop to the office.

Want to make sure we can dictate our session notes through the app as well, if we don’t want to use AI for session recording. Some clients do not want to be recorded, and dictating a quick note after session is very helpful through the browser, however I do not have a desk/laptop in my office setting, so being able to do it through the app will be amazing!

I like this idea! Could it come with an iOS lock screen widget to start/pause/end a new session with one touch? Then we could associate the session with a client after.

Will a feature be added to allow for therapist dictation of progress notes with AI assistance for formatting without using session recording?

@Valerie Rutherford This feature is already available and it’s called Text-to-note.

It lets you turn brief session observations or dictation into complete, structured notes with AI. You can start from a client profile, the left menu, or the Sessions page, then choose the client, note template, and session details before generating the note. Details at https://www.upheal.io/support/en/articles/10104827-writing-or-dictating-observations-to-get-full-notes

You can also type your own note without AI, and edit or replace notes later as needed.

Is this available in the app? I can use it on the desktop version, but it would be helpful to access this feature in the app. I don’t see a way to do that yet.

    Therapy App

Would be awesome for the app for the therapist to be more functional- where changes to billing, notification, and communications with clients, changes, and sending billing could be done from the app….

    Provider App

I would greatly benefit from a provider application because sometimes I am not able to get to a computer and need to send a message or reschedule a client.
