🏥 Credentialing Support
We're scoping credentialing support for therapists who want to get onto insurance panels without giving up a percentage of their revenue to platforms like Grow Therapy or Headway, and without losing weeks to CAQH paperwork and panel follow-ups.
The shape this takes is still being worked out. On one end, tools that track your credentialing applications, manage your CAQH profile, and remind you when recredentialing is coming up. On the other end, a fuller done-for-you service where Upheal partners with credentialing specialists to handle the paperwork on your behalf. This connects directly to the insurance billing work already underway, since being credentialed and being able to bill insurance are two halves of the same problem.
If credentialing support would change whether you stay on Upheal or evaluate an alternative, comment on this post and tell us which insurance panels matter most to you. The more specific the demand, the easier it is to scope.

Being able to use Upheal for my credentialing tracking and managing insurance billing it would simplify everything. You Ai programing is second to none as far as I’m concerned. If I had everything else under on hood. That would be be great. We’d have everything in one place. That would me everything to me.

I accept insurance and have a large case load of Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna and Curative clients.
I am also considering accepting Medicare and Medicaid

especially with the latest alma announcement about Aetna, I would be ready to contract privately with Aetna, Highmark, and UHC and leave Alma.

I work with a billing company already that has credentialing support but honestly if it comes with upheal then i may use upheal to credential new clinicians on my team depending on the price. We as a group are currently credentialed with UHC, Aetna, and FL BCBS
Friction point is ensuring credentialing is correct for a group contract.

Please add this! I saw Carepatron is doing this and I started looking into moving to that platform for this feature. We use Headway mostly right now because they were able to get us credentialed with BCBS and we hit a wall with them on our own as a group practice. I would love to have insurance billing and credentialing (everything) under Upheal. Headway has been a bit disappointing and it would be great to have all EHR under one platform.

I am still on the fence about Simple Practice and not quite ready to make the leap to private practice yet. Credentialing is one hurdle for me. I hate how simple practice nickels and dimes you for every extra feature. If Upheal will add credentialing and keep pricing for the platform reasonable, especially for those of us who have been loyal to you and provided our input from the beginning, I will remain with Upheal when I’m ready to make the leap. Thank you for creating such an amazing product for us!

Credentialing
Several of the sites are beginning to include credentialing with insurance payers. I'd like to be credentialed independently (not through platforms like Alma or Headway) without having to do it myself or pay a private biller.
