Yes the calendar overall needs a bit of work and this is one of the necessary steps.

@Adrian Tannockthank you for the feedback! Could you please share what other calendar improvements you'd need for it to meet your requirements? Any specific features or workflows you're missing would be really helpful.

Thank you! I really (genuinely) love Upheal and the calendar is extremely promising. To me, the calendar is so central to the professional life of a therapist because you spend so much time interacting with it. The little 'quality of life' improvements go a long way. I know you're working on some of the below, but here are the things I'd change:
- The main thing is clicking a client’s name is an immediate route into their full client record page.
- appointment statuses within the event: attended (automatic after recording), cancelled, late-cancelled and no-show/DNA
- appointment actions: rescheduling, rebooking or messaging the client directly from the calendar event to their portal.
- The ability to set the number of occurrences on a repeating appointment.
- An option to change the colour of appointment cards if desired.
- The option to associate an event colour to the "Service" category.
- The side panel is great! some logical additions might be a route to open the client record, unread messages in the portal, outstanding forms, link direct to the treatment plan, payment history.
- The ability to customise reminder messages rather than using fixed templates.
If using an touch screen device:
- Long press = toggle privacy mode.
- Swipe = move to next panel (next week if on week view, day if on day view etc.)
- Short press = new event or interact with selected event but do not move onto the next panel.
Not huge advances but would definitely make a difference.
