We're rebuilding how Upheal handles minor clients and the caregivers who support their care, so therapists working with children and adolescents stop having to force the platform to do something it wasn't designed for.
When your client is a minor, the person sitting in front of you, the people who consent to treatment, the person who pays, and the people who receive scheduling reminders are often different humans. We're adding proper caregiver support to the client profile: multiple parents or guardians with their own contact info and portal access, the same parent email allowed across sibling profiles, and a clear way to send forms to the right caregiver based on what each one is supposed to consent to. Parent-child session and note templates come alongside, so you stop reaching for the Couples template and watching the AI misidentify who said what.
This is foundational work. Once the data model knows the difference between a client and a caregiver, everything downstream becomes easier: scheduling, forms, billing, telehealth, notes. If you see minors and we're missing something specific to your workflow, drop a comment.
